RMS Titanic

We all know the story of the RMS Titanic, and we've all seen the movie, most of us more than once. Also, how can we forget about that infamous Celine Dion song "My Heart Will go On." What most of us don't know, is that the famous luxury liner was built in Belfast Harbour, Northern Ireland. Just last year, they built a Titanic Museum in the same location that the ship was built, to the height of what the Titanic would be like if it were sitting in the harbor today.  Gerald and I did a full day tour of the Pump House and Docks and the Museum during our visit and I was in awe of everything we saw and learned about. Humans are amazing but Mother Nature outweighs us all. This place is definitely worth a visit, even if you're not a Titanic fan. Here a a few pics I took in memory of the Titanic:

Where the Titanic sat before it sailed off to Southhampton, England on it's Maiden Voyage. A little saying the Irish say is "It was fine when it left..." For a little bit of humor, they blamed it on the English Captain.

One of the neatest things about the museums not featured in my pictures was the simulation ride that took us through the whole building process of the Titanic. We got to experience what it was like to work on the ship and see how it was all put together. Amazing. Also, there was a video simulation of what it was like to be inside the ship, from the water tanks all the way up to the deck, passing through all the cabins and up the grand staircase. It was a beauty, that's for sure.
