TX Girls in Stonehaven & Balmedie

To end our TX girls in Scotland tour, we went to the infamous town of Stonehaven and visited Dunnotter castle. For all our past visitors, you know this place is something special. We're just lucky enough live about 20 minutes away. Again, the weather couldn't have been any better for our visit. I was thinking of just showing the girls the castle grounds and have a walk around, but we ended up staying there for a good 3 hours just taking in the scenery. Sometimes, it's nice to just stop, relax, and enjoy the moment without thinking about what's going to happen next. The 3 of us did just that =)

















After our visit to the Castle, we had a Scottish lunch at the Ship Inn in Stonehaven's Harbor complete with sticky toffee pudding. It took the girls 4 days to finally try this amazing scottish dessert and it was well worth the wait. They devoured every last bite of it.


















On the way back to the car, we came across a little shop that had the Royal family's face cut outs and thought how fun would this be to walk around town with it on...You should have seen some of the looks we got...haha. Too much fun, I even scared myself a bit when I looked at my reflection in the store front window.

Will, Kate, & the Queen decided to come with us to Balmedie beach. Though the weather here isn't great for running around in our bathing suits, Balmedie beach is still worth a visit to see the sand dunes.  We saw some wind surfers out there as well, so that was cool. However, the best was walking around with our masks and seeing the smiles on peoples faces...haha.

Well, that was our adventure through Scotland. Next stop...Berlin.
